I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I help couples rebuild the intimacy and friendship in their relationships. I help families figure out how to communicate and negotiate toward a more productive and peaceful existence. I help individuals sort through a variety of issues that impact all of their relationships, including love, family, friend and work relationships.
I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Creighton University. I then launched into an unexpected 20+ year career in the telecommunication industry while I raised two children, always with the plan to complete my education in order to provide counseling to people struggling with relationships. I was finally able to complete my Master’s Degree in 2007 in Counseling and Psychotherapy from The Adler Graduate School.
While in graduate school, I worked as a counselor for multiple agencies that provided in-home counseling and parenting services to families involved in the Hennepin County Child Protection system. The journeys of these families solidified my desire to obtain the licensure needed to share my knowledge and resources with individuals, couples, and families.
Currently I am providing counseling services to individuals, couples, and families in private practice. Healthy intimate relationships require common interests, trust, respect, laughter and compromise in addition to physical intimacy. I will help you find ways to share with your spouse, help you strengthen your bond of trust, define what you are willing to compromise on, and how to laugh and love again.
I have professional memberships in the Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) and the Minnesota Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (MAMFT).
